Senior Business Development Manager

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Business Development Manager who shares our mindset: humble, thoughtful, and driven by curiosity and impact. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our business development efforts across our brands. You'll help shape and evolve our relationships and contracts, and play a key part in realizing our goals and potential as an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term growth strategies
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing and prospective customers and stakeholders
  • Understand current and future products and capabilities, as well as the competitive landscape
  • Develop and execute coordinated approaches to new business opportunities
  • Lead technical proposal writing in response to requests and solicitations
  • Work with a cross-functional team to ensure high-quality and accurate proposals
  • Serve as the point of contact for inbound requests and contacts, including leading capabilities briefings and B2B introductions
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the Department of Defense and other government offices
  • Identify and support new business opportunities
  • Proactively communicate and resolve issues with key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Support the progress of existing programs and efforts through collaboration with program managers, engineers, external vendors, and other stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Experience with electromagnetic warfare, signals intelligence, technical intelligence, and/or special operations
  • Deep familiarity with the bid and proposal process
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant acquisition, program management, business development, or systems architecture in government or private sector in defense technology
  • Experience in the technical, programmatic, and operational challenges of developing, deploying, and sustaining complex technologies, software, and hardware for defense applications
  • Self-starter, comfortable working with limited oversight
  • Proven experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Deep understanding of and experience navigating the Defense Acquisition Process
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to customers and senior stakeholders on complex topics

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, International Relations, Business Administration, or related degree from an accredited university, or commensurate experience.
